Are you kidding me?

Are you kidding me that I will miss this little face for 8 hours tomorrow? My maternity leave is over. WOW! Time goes by so fast! This has been the best three months of my life.

Everyone told me before I had children how amazing it is and how much I will love my kids. I listened to all the advice, the words of wisdom, the jokes, the scary stories and the stories of love and thought I knew what I was getting into. HA!

I have learned that having kids means NO WORDS can describe the love you have in your heart. It's indescribable. A love I never knew I had. It truly is an amazing experience. He has this smile that just gets me every time and little coos and gurgles that make me laugh.

Tomorrow I go back to work. It will be the longest 8 hour day I've ever had. I love being a mom. I think it's the best job in the entire world.

I'm 3 Months Old!

Today I officially turned 3 months old. Today is also Daddy's birthday so we both had something to celebrate! We went to dinner at Flemmings where we had a yummy steak. I had mine in the form of milk but it was still yummy. Today for Daddy's birthday we went to lunch and enjoyed the rainy day until Daddy had to go to work. It's been a great three months for me. I know my Mom and Dad have had fun with me too!

Dreamin' of Baseball

I think we have a future baseball player on our hands. Red Sox maybe? Possibly a rookie for the Royals??? All I know is this kid is holding onto baseball in his dreams. Dave took this photo. We were getting ready to go out to dinner and Taylan was playing with this baseball rattle when he fell asleep. I couldn't resist to put it on the blog. Sweet Dreams Baby Ray.

Head's Up

Every day Dave and I are amazed at how strong Taylan is getting. He loves to be on his belly and lift his head. He rolls over on his belly all on his own. I found out that he can do this one night when he slept through the night. I woke up early one day and freaked out at the time. I had not heard Taylan all night long. I ran into his room and found him on his belly sleeping - well, "like a baby". He now rolls over on his belly every night in the middle of the night and still sleeps through the night. His usual wake up time is 8:30 or 9:00. It's official... he IS our son! He loves to sleep! (finally)

New Toys

CALL ME!
Taylan loves to play with his little red telephone that we snagged from Nana's house. It always makes him smile when he has it in his little hands.

I am trying to get him to play with some new toys as well. It's so fun to watch him figure things out and really focus on what is in front of him.

Just like Daddy!

Baseball season is about to close for most of the MLB teams. But not for the Red Sox! Looks like we are going to get good use out of the Red Sox outfits we have. Taylan loves to dress up just like Daddy in his red sox stuff. Even if he does sleep through most of the games. Go SOX!

Trip to Boston

We took our first trip back to the East Coast to meet Nana and Grampy Ray.

It was a lot of fun. We hitched our first cab ride with the baby:

and took our first plane ride. Taylan called window seat! He did really well on the plane. They put us in the very back with the engine so even if he did cry, no one could hear him. But he was good. Slept the whole way.... just like a baby.

Nana was very excited to see her baby and his baby. Sweet boys.

We also got to show Taylan off to the whole family. On Saturday Jeff and Shannon had the family over so Talan got to meet the entire Ray side. We tried to get a photo of all the grandkids. WOW. What a moment that was. Cole wanted a solo shot.

Sunday my dear friend Carolyn hosted a Welcome Baby Taylan party at her house. She has a beautiful house with a pool. Taylan's first pool party. Taylan got to meet all my friends back East. The party was our very own Four Seasons' Tea Party. The food was yummy, the drinks were delicious and the desserts were perfect.

Nana was so happy to see her latest and greatest (don't tell the others I say that) grandbaby! Nana is in heaven with all her grandkids.

A trip back to the East Coast is nothing without a real New England lobster dinner.
